Sunday Roast

How to create a vegetarian version of this favourite? My way is to use a recipe by Rose Elliot in which continental lentils and walnuts create a hearty, chewy loaf. But I’m away from home at the moment, so I went on a search for a good pub version. Mission accomplished: the nut loaf roast to be had in the Prince Regent on Marylebone High Street of a Sunday, at less than £10, with a tangy beetroot relish and flavourful gravy, gets the thumbs up.
