Vegetarian bolognese

My favourite quick dinner!

You will need:
a couple of sticks of celery
some mushrooms
garlic
leek
chili powder or tabasco
tinned continental lentils
tinned or chopped up tomatoes
tomato paste
spaghetti

Put the water on to boil for the spaghetti
Chop up and saute ingredients in a fry pan – starting with leeks, garlic for a few minutes, and then celery and mushroom, finally adding tomatoes, a spoon or two of tomato paste and chili.

Let it simmer away while you put on the spaghetti.

When that’s done, strain the spaghetti, plate it and put the sauce on top.

If you have some basil – tear it up and throw it on. You may like this with parmesan too!

I’m a big believer in lots of chili in vegetarian pasta!

I would be interested too in good vegetarian pasta recipes without chili and garlic – for when one has guests over who can’t eat either!

This recipe was inspired by Flip Shelton – see link!

Yes, Bonnie, well done on creating your own food blog. Was it Andrew’s blog that made you start thinking about this? I like what I’m reading so far, but I think it could probably use some pictures.

What did the Vegetarian Sunday Roast actually look like?

What did the front of the restaurant look like?

You may like to get passers-by to take photos of you, perhaps out the front of the shop etc.

Again, thanks (although I know I’m not the target demographic)

      Thanks Paul for the feedback!
I started a more music-oriented blog a while back, which is waiting for some attention, so in a way I have and haven’t been blogging for a while…
I just had the idea last night when I had had this great roast, that I should combine my interest in food, writing and the internet – something fun to do, that may prove useful to others as it grows!
And I definitely need some pictures.
It was in part inspired by the breakfast blog, which I should provide a link to!
